‘Manamala Hendawa’ at Nelum Pokuna

Popular musician and singer Keerthi Pasquel’s solo concert ‘Manamala Hendawa’ will go on the boards from 6.45 pm onwards at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre on January 29. This is the second edition of the concert that was held under the same title in 2019.

Keerthi will entertain his fans with over 28 ever popular songs he had rendered to Sri Lankan music and a group of leading female vocalists- Chandraleka Perera, Nirosha Virajani, Dhammika Bandara, Maiezelle Gunathilake, Samitha Mudunkotuwa, Chethana Ranasinghe and Keerthi’s daughter Charuni Pasquel will join him for duets.

Popualr actor and presenter Saranga Disasekara will compere the musical concert, while dancers of Channa-Upula Dancing Troupe will perform colourful dance sequences.

Musical backing will be provided by Nalaka Sajee and his Orchestra.

All proceeds of the concert will be used to start ‘Prarthana Trust Fund’ that would contribute to help the patients who are waiting to undergo bone marrow transplant surgeries.

At the musical evening, the book titled ‘Keerthi Sundara Murusaraka Anandaneeya Charikawa’ would be sold at a special discounted price.

Keerthi is well-known for many charity works he has conducted. This talented musician won the 1996 World Science Council in Japan competing with musicians from 13 countries.
