St. Joseph’s College, Colombo and Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya won the Boys and Girls’ titles respectively at the Sri Lanka Schools Under-18 Division ‘A’ Basketball Tournament held at the Nalanda College premises.
St. Joseph’s beat Gateway College, Colombo 63-53 while Holy Family Convent beat Lyceum International School, Wattala 65-34 in the finals. Methika Jayasinge of St. Joseph’s and Kishuri Reiss of Holy Family Convent were declared the Most Valuable Players respectively in boys and girls while Abhaya Gajamange of St. Joseph’s and Dihini Dharmadasa of Holy Family were respectively adjudged the Best Offensive Players.
Randima Sooriyaarachchi and Shane Daniel coached both the winning teams.
