The First Capital sponsored SSC Open Tennis came to an end yesterday with Chathurya Nilaweera and Neyara Weerawansa succeeding to bag two double titles at the SSC Courts in Colombo. Chathurya, partnered by Thehan Wijemanne and Neyara won the Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles events while after her success with Chathurya, Neyara partnered with Janali Manamperi to claim the Women’s Doubles event.

Saajida Razick and Githmi Fernando too succeeded to bag two titles each with Saajida taking the Girls’ Under-18 and the Women’s Open while Githmi claimed the Girls’ Under-14 and Under-16 Singles events.

Results:
  •   Women’s Doubles: Neyara Weerawansa/Janali Manamperi beat Dinara de Silva/Saajida Razick 2-0 (6/1, 6/0)
  •   Men’s Doubles: Chathurya Nilaweera/Thehan Wijemanne beat Apna Perera/Zaidh Zihar 2-0 (6/4, 6/1)
  •   Mixed Doubles: Chathurya Nilaweera/Neyara Weerawansa beat Thehan Wijemanne/Savini Jayasuriya 2-1 (2.6, 6/3, 10/4)
