High scoring draw at Bambalapitiya
St. Peter’s made a strong reply to Nalanda’s huge first innings score of 340 for 7 by making 339 all out on the back of a fine century by Vishan Helambage (122) in the drawn Inter-School cricket fixture concluded at Bambalapitiya yesterday.
At close of play Nalanda were 68 for 1 with Ruchira Vilochana, who made a brilliant 188 in the first innings, hitting an unbeaten 43. De Mazenod Kandana and Maris Stella Negombo too featured in a drawn game in Negombo.
