Horizon Campus enters in to official partnership with Taylor’s University, Malaysia
View(s):Horizon Campus, Malabe, one of Sri Lanka’s leading non-state higher education institutions, entered into an official memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Taylor’s University in Malaysia.
The official partnership launch was held on the 25th of March 2023 with the motive to set forth a noteworthy step towards broadening educational opportunities for students in Sri Lanka.
This partnership will enable Horizon Campus students to access three degree programs, Bachelor in Software Engineering (Hons), Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media and Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons) that are globally recognised, further uncovering exciting opportunities for them in the international job market.
Students will have the flexibility to complete their entire degree programme in Sri Lanka or transfer to Taylor’s University after their first or second year of study including internship.
As the No. 1 Private University in Southeast Asia for three consecutive years, Taylor’s is planted among the top 1 percent of the most potent universities worldwide based on the QS World University Rankings 2023, getting the better of 130 places throughout the past seven years, making it the only private university in Southeast Asia to set foot in Top 50 of Asia’s best universities list.

Professor S.J.B. Jayasekera, the Vice-Chancellor of Horizon Campus, revealed his enthusiasm about this partnership stating, “We are delighted to sign this MoA with Taylor’s University, the top private university of South Asia. This partnership will allow our students to benefit from Taylor’s University’s expertise and resources, while also providing them with the possibilities to study in Malaysia. We believe that this partnership will create many opportunities for our students and strengthen the ties between the two countries.”
The Taylor’s University further regards it as the beginning of a very long-lasting collaboration and intends to extend their partnerships by launching the first-ever French Hotel School in Horizon Campus itself in due course partnered up with top-notch French Institutions in France which is widely known as the country that has made it to top in culinary arts giving out international exposure to its students that would produce better-prepared graduates who are ready to take up any challenge.
