Nuwara Eliya Spring Festival in full swing

The 2023 Nuwara Eliya Spring Festival (Wasantha Uthsawaya) was launched yesterday.
The event was launched at the Gregory Lake Park in Nuwara Eliya, with musical performances by school children and members of the armed forces.
Central Province Chief Secretary Gamini Rajaratne was the event’s chief guest. Nuwara Eliya District Secretary Nandana Galabada and other government officials, such as Nuwara Eliya Additional District Secretary Sujeewa Bodhimanna, who is also the Acting Municipal Commissioner also took part.
Nuwara Eliya’s Chandana former mayor, Lal Karunaratne, former municipal councillors, Police and armed forces officers, school principals and sponsors of the spring festival also joined.
