Action packed fantasy comedy ‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’ based on the game Dungeons & Dragons, is now being screened in theatres.
Revolving around a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.
Directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, who co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Gilio, the film stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis and Hugh Grant.
‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor among Thieves’ brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.
Prior to imprisonment, bard Edgin Darvis spent years as a member of the Harpers, an order of peacekeepers, until a Red Wizard he had antagonised killed his wife. Accompanied by barbarian Holga Kilgore, Edgin attempted to make a new life for himself and his daughter Kira by turning to theft, teaming with amateur sorcerer Simon Aumar and rogue Forge Fitzwilliam, along with the latter’s mysterious acquaintance, Sofina. While raiding a Harper stronghold, Edgin attempted to steal a “Tablet of Reawakening” to bring his wife back to life, but he and Holga were captured, while their accomplices escaped.
After two years in Revel’s End arctic prison, the pair escape to Neverwinter and learn that Forge has become Lord there, after its prior lord became mysteriously incapacitated.
