View(s):Gateway College has opened registration for post OL/IGCSE students to complete their final stage of schooling both efficiently and successfully. Gateway’s newly-designed programme of study that commences on the 21st of June not only offers students a wide range of options but grooms them with skills and competencies needed for University and Life.
There is no “one-size-fits-all” in education today in meeting a student’s career aspirations. Gateway College is proud to offer the largest and the most comprehensive selection of educational choices – so that parents and students can choose the most fitting education programme for academic growth and success. For the first time in Sri Lanka and South Asia, Gateway College Colombo introduces a choice between UK Advanced Level and Australian Secondary Certificate of Education (equivalent to AL).
Options available
The options available for the students after OL/IGCSE at Gateway are:
- 4 Advanced Level subjects – over 50 possible combinations are on offer through a mix of subjects
- 3 Advanced Level subjects and a Level 4 Diploma in Computing (equivalent to the first year of a UK/Australian University degree programme in Computing/IT)
- 3 Advanced Level subjects and a Level 4 Diploma in Business (equivalent to the first year of a UK/Australian University degree programme in Business-related subjects)
- 3 Advanced Level subjects and ATCL Diplomas in Performing (Speech and Drama)
- 2 A Level subjects and a Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Sport
- Australian Secondary Certificate of Education (SACE) which is equivalent to AL
- The International Foundation Programme as an alternative to the traditional ALs
All our courses are time bound and are guaranteed to complete in time no matter what challenges the country may face so that the parents and students are able to plan and prepare for Higher Education from the very beginning. The completion times for AL is June 2025, for SACE, November 2024 and the Foundation completes in June 2024.
