Colombo Synergy Academy Awards Night

Colombo Synergy Academy (CSA) organised its Awards Night which was held at the Sasakawa Hall in Colombo recently. It was held under the patronage of the Chairman of the Academy, Nazeem Ghaffoor. CSA is a private sports and educational academy focusing on developing sports and higher education for the players and students in the country.
Many students received their awards for outstanding performances in sports and education as an overall performance in each category. A total of 18 students graduated from the first batch of Colombo Synergy Student Development Programme at the event. Naadira Ghaffoor clinched the award of the Best Outstanding Student of the batch.
One of the main objectives of the event was to felicitate former stars Tony Amit, Asoka Jayasena, Hisham Abdeen and Nilfer Ibrahim for their contribution to rugby at this ceremony. They were presented awards by the Retired Air Group Captain, Nalin de Silva, who is also the Deputy President of Sri Lanka Rugby.
The awards were handed to the winners by former Sri Lanka cricket captain Sanath Jayasuriya. The title sponsors for the event were ATG Ceylon and IVG Creations who contributed to make the event a success.
