S.L. Ratnayake Memorial U-17 Badminton begins
View(s):The S.L. Ratnayake Memorial All-Island Schools Under-17 Badminton Championships 2023 began at the St. Thomas’ College Indoor Sports Complex in Bandarawela on Friday. The Championships, organised by the St. Thomas’ College under the guidance of Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association and Sri Lanka Badminton, will end on Tuesday, April 25.
Shuttlers from 90 schools will be in action, with 47 boys and 43 girls teams competing under six groups, namely Super A, A, B, C, D and E. The opening ceremony took place at 8.30am on April 21 while President of Sri Lanka Badminton, Rohan de Silva will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony which begins at 2.00pm on the final day.
