Nicholas Brookes, an Englishman who authoured the award winning book  ‘An Island’s Eleven’, was present at the Sarasavi Bookshop at One Galle Face to autograph his book. The 580-page book richly describes the history of Sri Lanka cricket, beginning from schools, colleges to the domestic level and then how the island nation transformed themselves to become one of the great force in world cricket. The picture shows, Brookes handing over a signed book to Ana Punchihewa–the former President of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka who played a key role in Sri Lanka winning the Wills World Cup in 1996. The book is available at Sarasavi Bookshop outlets island-wide.
