Pasindu slams 193, steers Kurunegala to big win
Kurunegala opening batsman Pasindu Menaka had the honour of making the highest individual knock of the ongoing Under-19 Provincial Youth League Limited Over Tournament when he slammed quick-fire 193 in only 126 balls inclusive of 25 boundaries and half a dozen sixes which paved the way for his side to record a massive 167-run win over Matale in the match played at Kurunegala.
Pasindu was also involved in two fruitful partnerships, first an opening wicket stand of 85 runs with Jayamin Muthukumarana and the other of 75 runs for the second wicket with Amesh Tennekoon as Kurunegala batted first and posted make a formidable total of 337 runs. Later Semina Yasas, who bagged five scalps, combined with Shehan Kumara, to bowl out Matale for 170 runs.
