All about Google Pixel tablet

The Google I/O conference revealed a few interesting devices and this week we look at the Pixel Tablet. Next week we’ll look at the Pixel 7a.
In case you missed it, the Pixel Tablet is not the first tablet launched by Google. That honour is given to the Google Nexus 7, which was launched in 2012. Since then there were a number of Nexus Tablets until the Nexus 9 in 2014, which was then followed by the Pixel C in 2015. With the Pixel Tablet, Google seems to be playing it safe, making a device that caters to what people use a tablet for: watching videos and playing some games. In that regard, the Pixel Tablet packs a 11” 2560×1600 pixel IPS LCD display. There’s no high refresh rate or HDR10 here. It’s just an honest, simple tablet. It’s powered by the same Tensor G2 chip, has up to 256GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM.
One thing that sets the Pixel Tablet apart from the rest is that it ships with a magnetic speaker dock. This is used not only to charge the Pixel Tablet, but also transforms the device into a smart display with enhanced sound and smart assistant. On the back of the Pixel Tablet, you’ll find an 8MP wide camera and the selfie camera also includes the same 8MP camera as well. The tablet packs a battery capable of up to 12 hours of video streaming and has a USB-C port for charging.
To cut a long story short, think of the Pixel Tablet as a more refined smart display which when docked and in Hub Mode, takes the role of smart home controller, music and entertainment player, voice-activated helper or digital photo frame. The Pixel Table will retail at $500, which isn’t too bad a deal considering what you get.
