A festival of theatre with three ever popular stage dramas including Ediriweera Sarachchandra’s  ‘Maname’ and ‘Sinhabahu’  and Simon Navagaththegama’s satirical play on political  power ‘Suba saha Yasa’ will go on the board at 3.30 pm and 7 pm from June 16 to 18 at the Lionel Wendt theatre, Colombo.

‘Suba saha Yasa’ on June 16.

Starring Sriyantha Mendis, Kusum Renu, Wasantha Wiachchi, Amaradasa Thalgahagoda,

Mahendara Weerarathane, Rathana De Nambuge, Sujeewa Priyal and Samadara Ariayawansa the music direction of the play is by Stanley Omar.Wasantha Vittachchi handled the makeup department and lighting by Upali Weerasinghe.

The new producer of the play is Sriyantha Mendis and the organiser is Jude Srimal.

The late Prof. Ediriweera Sarathchandra’s epoch making two plays “Maname” and “Sinhabahu” will go on the boards on June 17 and 18 respectively.

The festival is organised by Jude Srimal and all seats are box-planned. Tickets are now available only at Lionel Wendt Theatre gate.
