52nd Annual Sessions and 82nd Anniversary Celebrations of Institute of Chemistry, Ceylon

The 52 nd Annual Sessions and the 82 nd Anniversary Celebrations of Institute of Chemistry,Ceylon was held on 14 th June 2023 at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute Colombo under the theme “Role of Chemists in Achieving Sustainable Goals”. The Honourable Minister of Justice, Prisons Affairs and Constitutional Reforms, Dr Wijeyadasa Rajapakse graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Mr Rajitha Kariyawasam, Main Board Director, Hayleys Plc and Managing Director, Haycarb Plc, Deputy Chairman, Dipped Products Plc and Hayleys Fibre Plc was the Guest of Honour. Mr N M S Hettigedara, President of IChemC highlighted the role of the Institute of Chemistry, Ceylon in National Development in his Presidential Address.
Institute of Chemistry Ceylon awards, Long service awards, CCS Research awards, CCS awards and awards for activities were given during the ceremony.
A mini seminar of Women Chemist Committee and Technical Sessions were held on 15 th June at the Institute of Chemistry, Ceylon Auditorium.
