UOW Malaysia is part of the University of Wollongong Australia’s global network, but has a long history of providing accessible, quality, tertiary education to Malaysia, and the surrounding regions, as it was previously known as KDU College and University Colleges. UOW Global Enterprises, a wholly-owned subsidiary of University of Wollongong Australia, in September 2019 acquired the KDU institutions and following a process of transformation integrated them into the University of Wollongong Australia global network of campuses located in Australia, Dubai, Hong Kong, and now here in Malaysia.
Since November 2019, reflecting the stewardship of the University of Wollongong the Malaysian Campus is now known as UOW Malaysia. The University offers a full spectrum of programmes, within a contemporary learning environment utilizing state-of-the-art facilities, from Foundation through to Bachelor’s Degrees and Postgraduate programmes. These include programmes in Business, Hospitality, Tourism, Culinary Arts, Communication, Creative Arts, Computing, Game Development, Engineering, and Nursing.
UOW Malaysia with its state-of-the-art facilities provides a variety of learning spaces, a spacious modern Library, Culinary and Hospitality facilities, Engineering Laboratories, a Games Lab, Multimedia facilities and much more for students.

Accreditation
All programmes offered by UOW Malaysia are accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia through the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). This accreditation ensures that UOW Malaysia graduates are recognized throughout Malaysia, ASEAN, and internationally.
Our commitment to quality and continual self-evaluation is what helps us to uphold our reputation for academic excellence. Alongside our internal processes for quality assurance, UOW Malaysia is subject to the rigorous review processes of the MQA, to retain the high standards expected of Ministry licensed institutions.
In addition to local accreditation, programmes are quality assured by University of Wollongong Australia, with representation of UOW senior academic staff on Academic Senate ensuring qualifications from UOW Malaysia is held in high esteem. As a mark of this quality assurance, the UOW Vice Chancellor endorses all programme awards, to indicate that students have attained the required standard.

Besides good academic results, eligibility may also be dependent on nationality, the programme in which student is enrolling in as well as English proficiency levels.
