Inspired by tales of Herne the Hunter and Robin Hood, the newly opened venue, Sherwood by The Barn offers a seamless indoor-outdoor experience, for fairytale weddings, corporate events, social gatherings and wellness retreats.
Capturing old-world charm and modern luxury, Sherwood by The Barn, set in a tranquil landscape in Panadura, is the newest venture of the Barnhouse Studio launched by Founder and Managing Director, Kushantha Hewapathirana.
Hewapathirana has looked to blend nature with responsible design. “Sherwood by The Barn is the realisation of a dream. Our focus on sustainable design and reduced power consumption sets us apart from the competition and underscores our commitment to protecting the environment. “
The venue harnesses natural lighting and ventilation, minimising power consumption. More than half of the construction materials used in the venue have been sourced from upcycled waste.
Additionally, the culinary experience at Sherwood by The Barn follows a farm-to-table philosophy, utilising locally sourced ingredients and minimising food waste.
