Mahapola bursaries for March/April released
View(s):The Government has released Rs 3.1 million from the Mahapola trust fund for the payment of the Mahapola scholarship funds which have been outstanding for several months.
The funds were released with the intervention of the Education Ministry which has been inundated with several complaints. The issue of non-payment of scholarship funds was also raised in Parliament. The money will be credited to the accounts of the students within the next week as bursaries for March and April.
