Lankan edition of The Routledge Companion to be launched
View(s):‘The Routledge Companion to Sinhala Fiction from Postwar Sri Lanka: Resistance and Reconfiguration’ edited and translated by Madhubhashini Disanayaka Ratnayake will be launched on Saturday, July 8 at the BCIS (Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies) auditorium.
A panel discussion will be held from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m., along with the book launch. Moderated by Prof. Saumya Liyanage, the distinguished panel of speakers comprises Dr Sasanka Perera, Prof. Sumathy Sivamohan, Prof. Liyanage Amarakeerthi and Dr Prabha Manuratne. Those interested in attending the discussion, need to email:admin@bcis.edu.lk for registration, which is free of charge on a first come, first served basis.
The Sri Lankan edition of the book is distributed by Sarasavi Bookshop (Pvt) Ltd and the book is being launched by the BCIS with the seminar organized by the BCIS and its Languages and Cultural Studies Unit.
The Routledge Companion presents a collection of Sinhala resistance literature – translated short stories and extracts from Sinhala novels written after 2009.
