Everyone was asked to come in white and be prepared to wallow in colour as the Past Pupils’ Association and the Oriental Dance Society of Bishop’s College held their Holi-inspired ‘Festival of Colours’ at the school on the morning of Saturday, June 24.

Widely celebrated in India, Holi is a joyful tradition dating back centuries symbolising the victory of good over evil. The Bishopian event included much music (swinging Bollywood tunes) and tempting Indian fare from  street food, to spicy kebabs, tangy chaat, biriyani, rounded off with Masala Chai and mouth-watering sweets, as well as dishes like pizza, tacos, amidst the fun, frolic and fellowship.
