Brayan Perera qualifies for Olympic Esport Series 2023 in Singapore

Brayan Perera, representing Sri Lanka and the Ceylon Motor Sports Club, qualified for the finals in the Olympic Esport Series 2023, scheduled to be conducted by the International Olympic Committee, the Federation Internationale de Automobile, and GranTurismo.
Brayan has been racing since 2007. He started out in karts and moved on to compete in the Formula McLarens 1300 LGB and the following year he won the Formula EFI Championship and later moved on to winning the Formula Junior Championship and finished fourth in the Formula BMW in India.
A total of over 160,000 competitors registered online for the qualifier globally, while Brayan qualified as the fastest driver, from the CMSC driver line up, and will represent the CMSC at finals in Singapore, competing against 32 of the world’s fastest drivers.
“One of our key goals is to grow motor sport’s global fan base, and Esports – as an accessible, grassroots discipline – offers a golden opportunity to reach a new, young and enthusiastic audience,” stated Niroshan Pereira, President of the Esports Commission at the FIA.
“As a governing body, we also share the core Olympic values of excellence, respect and friendship, and we look forward to seeing the Olympic Esports Series Motor Sport Finals play out in just such a spirit and to celebrating the 2023 winner in Singapore this weekend.”
The Ceylon Motor Sports Club, started off its Esport Championships in 2020, and has successfully created an Esport community, and conducted championships over the years 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. The CMSC’s Race At Home ESport Championships have produced highly disciplined drivers in two separate categories called the Pro and Am.
