Today’s school-leavers need a quick personal skills-developer as they enter the world of higher studies and jobs. Boosting character, study skills and social style, all give a stepping stone in to the future.

The Ivey Institute of Business and Technology (IIBT), known popularly as Ivey Campus, has come up with just the mix of intermediate capacity building designed for that intellectual transition from schooling and teenage life to young adulthood.
Their Professional & Academic Skills Development (PASD) programme provides that personal launch pad for the next generation in just eight weekends.

Ivey’s vibrant mix of study and practicals is designed by the Campus’ experienced teaching faculty and youth trainers. The school-leaver will benefit from a quick build-up of study techniques as the foundation for higher studies to come. There will also be a nurturing of greater self-confidence and self-discipline – a new ability to cope with new challenges, entering new worlds of jobs and society.
Ivey’s PASD course offers:

  • Self-critical thinking and ability to make self-assessments
  • Self-motivation to meet targets
  • Ability to plan ahead and set goals
  • Inter-personal skills for better teamwork in college and workplace
  • Learning career planning and continuing professional development
  • Etiquette for Business & Social upward mobility
  • Enabling creative handling of data and concepts;
  • Study methods, engaging with scholarly literature; coping with exams

The purpose of the PASD programme is to enable students to identify, understand, develop and display their key personal talents
in the context of their future career aspirations.
The course is a minimum of 8 weekends, usually on Saturdays with possibly some homework. The learning method is a stimulating mix of teaching and challenging inter-active experiential learning.
