The 48th Annual Academic Sessions of the College of General Practitioners of Sri Lanka (CGPSL) were held on July 1 and 2 in Colombo on the theme ‘Emerging trends in General Practice: Healing amidst crisis’.
The sessions were held under the guidance of the college President Dr. D.K.D. Mathew and the chief guest was Professor Sir Sabaratnam Arulkumaran, Past President of the British Medical Association, the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) and the International Federation of O & G. Oration ‘From womb to tomb’ was delivered by CGPSL Past President Dr. Eugene Corea.
CGPSL Honorary Fellowships were awarded to Professor Sir Arulkumaran and Prof. Srinath Chandrasekera and Fellowships to Dr. F.A. Rajakulendran, Dr. Radhika Sugathapala, Dr. Shihari Subasinghe Abeysena and Dr. Dilini G. Ilapperuma Baranage.
