Uni staff granted foreign leave requests last year
View(s):A total of 2,130 foreign leave requests by academic and non-academic staff in universities and higher education institutes have been approved last year, a report revealed.
The annual performance report of the Higher Education Ministry for 2022 said of the total, 1,189 were to go on duty leave and 941 on personal leave.
According to the report, the highest was from University of Colombo (336) followed by University of Peradeniya (242), University of Sri Jayewardenepura (239) and University of Jaffna (201). (NF)
