Hemas Group has partnered with Eco Spindles to establish two state-of-the-art Baling sites in Ampara and Colombo. This strategic collaboration aims to tackle the urgent issue of plastic pollution by collecting over 25,000 kg plastic waste per month.
The primary goal is to promote responsible plastic waste management practices in line with the Hemas Group’s environmental agenda, the company said.
Hemas Group sees this partnership with Eco Spindles as a significant milestone in their efforts to collect and responsibly dispose of plastic waste. By investing in these two Baling sites, the company aims to enhance its plastic waste collection initiatives and actively support the national voluntary Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) initiative.
