Karate-Do brought down to mat by Minister

View(s): Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe suspended the registration of Sri Lanka Karate-Do Federation and has appointed a nine-member committee as a temporary operational procedure in order to further maintain the functions of the association. Accordingly the committee is headed by C.A.G. de Zoysa (President) and includes Dr. Jayalath Illangakoon (Secretary), S.C. Medawatta, Dr. Jayanthi A. Nanayakkara, Mahilini Maiyuran, K.M.C. Kumara, R. Deva Kumara, A.K. Shiromi Fonseka and R.M. Iqbal. He has granted authority to call a special general meeting to appoint an election committee to call and conduct the election of office bearers.
