Public servants construct open air theatre

An open air Theatre for Meda Dumbara (Teldeniya) which was estimated at Rs 7.5 million was constructed on a shramadana basis by Public Servants for the benefit of the public over the weekend.
The cost calculated for manpower by the Public Servants was around Rs 3.5 million.
The open air theatre was declared open by Governor of the Central Province Lalith U Gamage.
The Governor said the effort demonstrated that there are still public officers who love their fellow citizens and are willing to serve them, and that their work should be appreciated. Divisional Secretaries in the area and other officers were present on the occassion.
