‘Punsanda Paaya 2023’ is back in the saddle

The ‘Pun Sanda Paaya’ variety show bringing out the cream of hometown talent is a pet event executed periodically by the MAF and is now being held for the ninth time since1994. The eighth edition with a full blast was held at the same venue in 2017.
The best of artistic talent of Moratuwa Arts Forum will be enacted on stage when their glittering spectacle ‘Pun Sanda Paaya 2023’ is presented on 19th Saturday. A pot-pourri of popular singers, musicians, dramatists, comedians and dancers will be featured in this two and a half hour fun filled entertainment package, which is expected to be a sell-out affair. The Show this time will be a novel rendition to a concept never presented before and is expected to thrill everyone.
To name a few popular Moratuwa stars who would be featured at the ‘Punsanda Paaya 2023’ are Melantha Perera of Mirage fame, Lincoln de Silva of Super Pink N Purple, Rukshan Perera of Super Golden Chimes fame, Sureshni Wanigasuriya formerly with the band X’ Periments, Prof. Manela Joseph of Winslow Six fame, Saman de Silva, Lankika and Chanaka Perera of Golden Chimes, Luckey Deva and Shenya Napthalie of band Spirit, Chandani Freddie Silva, Sureni De Mel, Erandi Perera, Mala Bhareti, Don Guy, Ratnasheela Perera, Hemaka Fernando, Lakma Salgado along with several other stars from Moratuwa. The accompaniment musical backing will be provided by ‘Re-Generation led by Neluke Wijesuriya’. Internationally acclaimed Chandana Wickremasinghe Dance Troupe will no doubt add value and as usual ‘MAF’ dancing bevies Janadari Salgado, Varuni Cooray, Kanani Fernando and Rupika Sutherland will bring much colour to the show. This will be a concert that should not be missed by any as it is being staged after six long years.

Moratuwa Stars at ASP Paduru Party on TNL TV
‘Stars of Moratuwa’ will be featured at the popular ‘ASP Paduru Party’ on TNL TV’s Sunday musical programme on 13th Sunday at 9.30 p.m. The stars ‘Punsanda Paaya 2023’ will perform live at the ‘Paduru Party’ with the normal five piece band. The programme will be presented by A.S.P. Liyanage and it telecat for nearly 2 ½ hours without any commercial breaks. ‘Paduru Party’ is rated as highly watched programme on TNL TV every Sunday at 9.30 pm. and it will be repeated on the following Sunday at 2.00 pm.
