Association Ex-CISIR/ITI Employees – Annual General Meeting
View(s):Giving again the golden opportunity for all retired CISIR and ITI Staff to meet again and entertain among their former colleagues, the Annual General Meeting of the Association Ex- CISIR/ITI Employees was successfully held at ITI auditorium on 12 th of August with the participation of over 70 members.
Inaugurating the event chaired by President of the association, M. Subadra Jayasinghe requested to observe 2 minutes silence in memory of departed members including past Chairman Dr R O B Wijesekara , founder President of the Association Dr Janaka Rathnasiri, Mr. Jayaweera Banadara, Mr. Sunil Samaraasinghe and Mr. Wasantha Weerasinghe who left our midst recently.
The Annual Report was presented by the Secretary Ms. Sharmini Wickremarane and it was disclosed that the medical fund organised by the Association has now reached RS. 200,000.00 and that it is the aim of the association to raise the funds at least to the level of 500,000.00. The members were also introduced to an Insurance scheme initiated by the Sri Lanka Insurance especially for the benefit of the senior citizens. The meeting was followed by members enjoying the company of former colleagues and music and dancing.
The fellowship lunch was sponsored by the Silvermill Group of Companies and the
Association is very grateful for their kind gesture. The stall set up by the Silvermill group was well patronised by our members.
