Muhurath ceremony for ‘Elephant Pass’, a film revolving around three boys who have got extraordinary talents was held recently in Colombo.
Scripted by Damith Dahanayaka, Dr.Pramod Chandima Rathnayake the film is to be directed by Palitha Perera.
Three children who are known with the pet names Rusiru, Gajamatic and Mathamatics possessed with extraordinary talents. Rejected from the traditional education system, they are striving to solve the problem of human elephant conflict, a problem that their villagers eternally suffering. However a young man who enters the village identifies the exceptional capacity of the three kids and direct them on a different path. ‘Elephant pass’ is the story of this extraordinary journey of three kids
Produced by Nilan Weerasinghe, cinematographer is Chinthaka Somakeerthi and art director is Manjula Ayagama. Makeup and hair by Priyantha Dissanayake, costume designer is Suresh Madhusanka. Achala Solamon is the musical score while editor is Thissa Surendra.
Colourist is Asanka Wickramasiri, dubbing and audio by Athula Jayasinghe and production manager is Daminda D.Madawala.
The film stars Hemal Ranasinghe, Bimal Jayakodi, Priyantha Sirikumara, Ananda Kumaraunnehe, Kaushalya Fernando, Thilakshani Rathnayaka, Rathna Lalani Jayakodi, Sujani Menaka, Priyanka Samaraweera, Anjana Premarathna, Mayura Kanchana Perera, Saman P.Dissanayaka Daya Wayaman and ‘Elephant Pass’ introduces five child actors to the cinema.
