Obituary

Mrs S Malini Mallawaratchie – It is with great sadness that we announce the demise of Mrs S Malini Mallawaratchie (nee Ratnatunga), Food Technologist, formerly at Marketing Department and ITI (CISIR), former visiting lecturer at University of Colombo, former Food Technologist of the Food Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Health, beloved wife of Eng Daya Mallawaratchie (former GM (RDA)), loving mother of Asha, beloved sister of Sujiva, Channa, Ajita and Kavan. A simple funeral was held on 29/08/2023 and the cremation took place at the General Cemetery Borella.
DISSANAYAKE – SUMITHRA (nee Tennahewa) relict of Hilary Dissanayake. Dearly beloved sister of Rohini. Sister in law of late Rodney Chambers, Marcelline and Pamela Dissanayake, Nirmalie and Thomas Silva, Anil and Keshanie Dissanayake and of Vinodra and late Mohan Jayamaha. The remains will lie at A.F. Raymond’s Parlour on Monday the 4th of September from 10 AM. The Funeral will take place at the General Cemetery Kanatte (Roman Catholic Section) at 3. PM on the same day.
De Silva – Manik Rohan, loving father of Rohan, Priyanthie, Natasha and Nilusha, father-in-law of Shalini, Pradeep, Palan and Siddhartha, son of late Hector and Indumathi, brother of Ajith and Indrani, brother in law of Priyanth and Indrani, loving grand father of Akaash, Pavani, Pavith and Akiv. Remains lie at A.F. Raymond Funeral Parlour. Funeral will be held on Monday 4th September 2023 at General Cemetery Borella.
