(ACBT), the pioneer of providing international higher education in Sri Lanka (since 1998) celebrates its “25 Years of Trust” this year. ACBT is owned by NAVITAS Limited, which is the largest education services provider based in Australia with 130+ colleges and campuses worldwide in 31 counties and training over 120,000 students a year.
ACBT offers pathways to undergraduate degree programmes of over 24 universities, through a wide range of pathway programmes such as Pre-foundation program, International University Foundation Programmes, Diploma and Advanced Diploma programmes, which are designed with the purpose of preparing qualified job ready leaders for tomorrow’s needs.
ACBT also offers Australian and UK degree programmes, which provide the opportunity to our students to either earn an Australian or UK degree at an affordable price in Sri Lanka. The main attribute of ACBT’s programmes is that these programmes are designed in collaboration with the local and international partners to deliver an industry ready graduates.
With 25 years in Sri Lanka and with the introduction of flexible learning options students are able to complete a degree in Sri Lanka within 2 years and be a graduate at the age of 19. Our success rate measured by our partner universities has shown a comparative success rate of 89%.
During this long journey of 25 years, we have taught over 20,000 students and today most of them are holding top positions in companies locally and overseas. They have become valuable members in this society and ACBT is very proud of them.
Our unique trimester system enables the students to study in three academic semesters within one calendar year. This allows the students to complete their programmes much faster than a student who would be completing a conventional university degree program. This approach adds the flexibility where all students can get a degree within a relatively a shorter period of time and have the relevant knowledge for tomorrow’s global employment opportunities. Our semesters begin in March, July and November of each year.
ACBT’s flexible payment plans enable the students to obtain their desired degree qualification at an affordable cost. With this flexibility in payment plans, the students can take few subjects which suits their budget and can still complete the program over a period of 3 years.
All ACBT programmes are approved by Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) Sri Lanka. All the degree programmes offered by ACBT are globally recognized.
During the 25 years of journey, ACBT students seeking to go abroad for either undergraduate or post graduate programmes have been accepted to prestigious universities in Australia, UK, Canada, New Zealand and the USA.
In this arena, the Student Services International Education (SSIE) division of ACBT has been supporting the students to apply for top ranked universities in the above mentioned countries throughout the past 25 years. This service is available for ACBT Students 100% free of charge.
Student’s wellbeing and satisfaction are two of the major focus points at ACBT. Our admissions and academic teams make sure to assist students whenever they need support. Students are evaluated continuously throughout the trimester to identify whether they need any additional support academically or psychologically in the early stage of their student life cycle. This is another service which is available to students free of charge. Our lecturers are recruited via a highly qualified panel of academics whose interest is focused on high academic outcomes of students. These lectures are continually evaluated by our expert panel of academics on anonymous student feedback throughout the year.
