View(s):The St. Joseph’s College, Maradana that has set a landmark achievement in the educational history of Sri Lanka has produced more intellectuals, athletes and educationists to the country since it was incepted always pioneering in educational modernisation and creating innovations.
In the light of ongoing economic crisis in the country it has been focusing attention on producing more professions suitable to the economically advancing contemporary world to to make the students of this college to be the stakeholders of uplifting the national economy.
To be a response college the St. Joseph has taken the responsibility of extending a helping hand to fix the economic crisis and to make use of its students to achieve this goal.
As an initiative of its proposed and ongoing plans the St. Joseph’s College has inaugurated programme to transform its students to be professionals suitable to the technology-dominated current world and to wipe out the misconception that the job market and the education system are not interconnected travel in parallel owing to such a situation the potentials for unemployment would be at highest level. The St. Joseph’s College strives to give a new facelift to the education system of this country by introducing novel programmes.
The College has initiated a programme to provide educational guidelines its students professional guidelines to select a suitable stream in order to make them into professionally qualified professionals suitable to the job market.
The College has planned to hold such programmes targeting the GCE (A/L) students every year.
The inaugural ceremony was held recently at its Bonjean Hall chaired by College Principal Rev. Fr. Ractor Ranjith Andradi
