Colombo Uni hosts ‘Back to Faculty’
View(s):The Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo, will host ‘Back to Faculty’, a gathering of past graduates to share their experiences and uplift future graduates of the Faculty.
“The back to faculty event uniting all the past graduates in the faculty will discuss the future development and the contributions they can make in various forms,” Vice Chancellor of the University Professor H D Karunaratne said.
The event also serves as a fundraiser to fund scholarships for students from lesser-privileged backgrounds.
The event is sponsored by MAS Intimates, Hayleys PLC, Ceylon Biscuits Ltd, Revello and Unilever under the Platinum category. The Gold category is sponsored by Singer PLC, Golden Star Ceylon Pvt Ltd and Hutch. Sarvodaya Development Finance, Citizens Development Business Finance PLC, Sierra Cables PLC, NCW Holdings, and a number of well-recognised brands sponsor the Silver category.
The discussion was headed by seven out of the nine members of the steering committee, namely, VC Prof H D Karunaratne, Faculty of Management and Finance Dean Professor M P P Dharmadasa, Department of Business Economics Head Professor H M Nihal Hennayake, Senior Lecturer D M S Dassanayake, Sarvodaya Development Finance Chairman Channa de Silva, MAS Intimates Pvt Ltd COO Ruwan Keragala, and Kalum Vincent.
