A ‘Dream Theatre’ in town
View(s):Playwright and academic Dhananjaya Karunarathne’s collection of short plays titled ‘Sihina Rangahala’ (A Dream Theatre) will be staged at the Elphinstone Theatre at 3.30 pm and 7.00 pm on October 8.
Originally produced in 1995 the collection consists of five captivating short dramas titled ‘Valenne Enakan’, ‘Chandravathi Samaga Rathriyak’, ‘Oba Sapekshayi’, ‘Duwana Un Dennek’ and ‘Last Bus Eke Kathawa’.
The dramas which are different to each other in theme, presentation and content would be promising and enchanting experience for theatre lovers and anyone.
The cast of the collection of plays includes Ama Wijesekara, Pradeep Ramawickrama, Sulochana Weerasinghe, Sanath Wimalasiri, Kusal Madhuranga, Dhanushi Dasanayaka, Pujana Dandeniya, Dimuthu Chinthaka and Chamal Ranasinghe. Music for the ‘Sihina Rangahala’ is by Kapila Pugala Arachchi, make up by Sumedha Hewavitharana, lighting by Chandana Aluthge.
All seats are box planed and can be purchased from the theater. ‘Sihina Rangahal’ is produced and organised by Jude Srimal.
