Korean National Day celebrated in Colombo

In line with the national day celebrations of the Republic of Korea, a reception was hosted on October 6 at the Hotel Shangri-La, Colombo.

Organised by the Korean Embassy, the reception featured an array of traditional Korean events showcasing the traditions of this friendly nation. The event celebrated Korea’s culture and emphasized its strong bonds of diplomacy and camaraderie with Sri Lanka.

Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Sri Lanka Lee Miyon addressing the gathering highlighted the significance of the day and underscored the enduring friendship between Korea and Sri Lanka which reflected the warm diplomatic relations of both nations.

Agriculture Minister Mahinda Amaraweera represented the Sri Lanka Government, while National Security Advisor Sagala Rathnayake, parliamentarians, diplomats, Commanders of Sri Lanka Navy and Air Force, government officials, and many invited dignitaries attended the evening.
