Print exhibition and trade fair
View(s):The Sri Lanka Printers Association announced their print exhibition and trade fair of 2023 from October 26-28, at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall.
The national print awards 2023 will also be held on October 27, at Marino Beach Hotel in Colombo 3. The ceremony will commence at 6 pm. Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena will grace the award ceremony.
The Sri Lanka Print Exhibition and Trade Fair 2023 is being held jointly with the Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging.
President of the Printer’s Association, Anil Kariyawasam said that the exhibition would be held from 9 am to 7 pm. It would showcase booths representing 44 local and 6 international printers and suppliers.
The event would serve as a platform for industry stakeholders to explore the latest trends, products and services of printing and packaging.
The exhibition would be held at Halls A and B of the Sirimawo Bandaranaike building at the BMICH. Excutive committee member of Sri Lanka Association of Printers Deshan De Silva said Sri Lanka Association of Printers would have Hall A while Hall B would be occupied by Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging.
The event would be ceremonially declared open by Education Minister Susil Premajayantha at 9 am, October 26.
Project Chairman of the Judging Committee of the Sri Lanka Print awards Udaya Hettiarchchi said that they were having the print awards after a four year period due to the pandemic. He said they have over 1,000 entries for the awards. This year there would be an international judging panel with experience in pre-press and post-press technologies. The panel would evaluate all entries and select 29 categories.
“Packaging, commercial printing and different embellishments would be evaluated, and winners would be selected. Apart from that the Master Printer of the year would also be announced during the print awards ceremony,” he said.
Cash awards would be given to 88 winners, the master printer will get a special award.
