Court grants bail to suspects who threatened businessman
View(s):The Trincomalee Magistrate’s Court granted bail for two individuals who were taken into custody over an attempt to cause life threats to a businessman in Nilaveli, Trincomalee.
The businessman, Selvarajah Suthakaran who lives in Mahabage, Ragama lodged a complaint with the Police about attempts by a group against him in February last year after they went to his hometown looking for him and warned his associates.
When the case was taken up last Monday, the Court granted bail to two suspects, Sinnadurai Kopalakrishnan and Nadarsa Jeyakaran who were taken into custody following Police investigations.
According to the B report filed by the Police, the suspects travelled in a van to Nilaveli and visited a temple and rice mill owned by Mr Suthakaran and warned his associates of life threats against him.
The businessman is also the founder of Paris-based business entity VS Co.
