The Sri Lanka Federation of the Visually Handicapped (SLFVH) is excited to announce their choir (comprising of talented visually impaired singers) is now available for  bookings in the 2023 Christmas season. The choir members eagerly look forward to bringing their special brand of festive cheer to corporates, hotels and homes.

The SLFVH aims to improve the quality of life of the visually impaired population of Sri Lanka. Every year the Federation brings together a group of multi-talented visually handicapped singers to form a choir that performs at reputed establishments and functions during the festive season.

The choir performing at the Majestic City, Bambalapitiya in 2017 at the request of Mr Page.

The choir has a long history of performing at leading hotels, end-of-year office functions, shopping malls, apartment complexes and other institutions, and are a much-loved part of the annual festivities of a number of organisations.

The choir performs four-part singing and their repertoire includes English, Sinhala, and Tamil carols. The total programme can be tailor-made to run for 20-40 minutes based on each organisation’s requirements. The funds raised from these engagements will be used to cover the expenses of the choir and any remaining funds will be used to support the ongoing activities of the Federation.

Please contact Nilmini on 0711-949379 or email slfvh74@gmail.com to book the choir for your function, or for any questions and clarifications.

The Federation supports self-employment projects by its members. Anyone interested in supporting self-employment projects either financially or through provision of raw materials by donating old magazines, newspapers, scrap papers or fabric can contact Nilmini.

The Federation is in need of volunteers to assist with administration, letter-writing, fundraising for 2-3 hours a week.  Please contact 0777-711044.
