The service organised by the Rukmani Devi Memorial Society was conducted in Maradana Fatima Church with Rev Krishantha Jayalath, commemorating the 45th anniversary of Rukmani Devi. Restoration of the Rukmani Devi statue in Tudella, Ja ela was done with financial support from Neomal Perera, President of the All Ceylon Coconut Producers Association.
