Huawei to help digitisation efforts in education
View(s):Education Minister Susil Premajayantha met with Pan Junfeng, Chairman of Huawei South Asia Representative Office recently to advance digitisation efforts in Sri Lanka’s education sector.
Minister Premajayantha and Mr Junfeng discussed how Huawei can help the Ministry to improve technological awareness and capabilities among all stakeholders. It was also discussed that steps should be taken to develop capacity by strengthening cooperation between the two parties.
Mr Junfeng said that Huawei is committed to providing its expert support and technical solutions to Sri Lanka.
Huawei agreed to work closely with the ministry to ensure the success of the programme, the Education Ministry said.
“Huawei is committed to supporting Sri Lanka in establishing an advanced digital economy programme for Sri Lanka, and reducing the digital distance existing in many development programmes through modern information and communication technology solutions,” Mr Junfeng said.
