Primary sections to be given holiday during A/L
View(s):A decision to allow primary sections to continue while the GCE (A/L) examination was in progress has been revised following an appeal from the Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara.
As the Examinations Department would be needing more invigilators, the Department has requested to release teachers from the primary section as well.
Accordingly, the Ministry’s previous decision to allow the primary section to conduct classes during the exam has been reversed.
The objective of allowing primary classes to conduct classes was allowed for them to complete syllabuses. -TWI
