Professor Manori Gamage new Dean of J’pura Medical Sciences Faculty
View(s):The University of Sri Jayewardenepura has appointed Professor Manori Gamage as the new Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences with effect from last Friday.
Prof Gamage holds an array of qualifications, including MBBS, MD (PAED), DCH and MRCPCH (UK). As a professor in pediatrics, she has made significant contributions to the field, particularly in neonatology. Her skills and expertise extend to disciplines such as nephrology, nursing science and pediatrics.
Prior to joining the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Prof Gamage served as a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. Additionally, she held the position of associate professor in experimental hepatology at King’s College London. Her commitment to research is evident through her role as a council member/NRC in the National Research Council.
