Susil Premajayantha elected to UNESCO
View(s):Education Minister Susil Premajayantha has been elected to the UNESCO Board of Directors at a vote held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France this week. He received 188 votes (76 per cent) from 144 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
He will have the opportunity to represent the country from 2024-2027. This is the second time he has been elected to the post, the first being in 2008.
