‘Awarjana’, an evening of music featuring some of the renowned leading singing sensations in the Sri Lankan Musical arena will go on the boards on Friday, December 1 at the BMICH. Musically backed by a full orchestra directed by Nalaka Sajee, the musical evening features T M Jayarathne, Edward Jayakody, Deepika Priyadarshani, Sunil Edirisinghe and Samitha Mudunkotuwa.
Organised by’Star Events Pvt Limited’ which is famous for its earlier successful event such as Singer Sonu Nigam Live in Concert and many other local concerts, the entire proceeds of the show is directed for charity project. ‘Part of the funds generated from this show will be directed at renovating and refurbishing Ward no 31 and 32 of Colombo North Teaching Hospital in Ragama’ Sudarma Jayawardene, Director Star Event Pvt Ltd said.
