Sri Lanka’s new High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Rohitha Bogollagama visited the London Buddhist Vihara after assuming duties at the High Commission on Monday (20). The London Buddhist Vihara started by Anagarika Dharmapala in 1926 is the oldest Buddhist temple in Britain.

Pictures show the onetime Foreign Minister offering flowers at the shrine room, and with Venerable Bogoda Seelawimala Thera, Head Monk of the Vihara and Chief Sangha Nayaka of Great Britain, Mrs Bogollagama and Amal Abeywardene, Secretary of the British Maha Bodhi Society.
