Samantha Yahampath appointed to State Cinema Advisory Board

Features Editor of Daily Lankadeepa and the Editor of ‘Rasavindhana’ Cinema and Art supplement Samantha Yahampath has been appointed as a member of the State Cinema Advisory Board which acts under the Art Council of Sri Lanka.
The 3-year tenure appointment has been made on the direction of Minister Vidura Wickremanayake and Samantha’s appointment was endorsed by Chairman of Sri Lanka Art Council Prof. Praneeth Abeysundara.
As a journalist for over 30 years Samantha has been writing on the issues relating to cinema and arts in Sri Lanka and he had served as a Jury member of State Short Film Festival and a member of the Teledrama Survey Committee of Independent Television Network (ITN).
He has diplomas on Mass Communications from University of Colombo and the University of Sri Jayawardenapura.
