It’s time for the British School in Colombo’s annual Christmas Carnival – Glitter & Glee which takes place on December 8 from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Presented by the Parent Teacher Association, entrance for Glitter & Glee is priced at Rs.1000 per person. Children 5 years and under get free entrance. Games tickets are priced at Rs.2500 (for children of 6 years and above) and Rs.1000 (for children of 5 years and below.) will give the children access to all rides at the carnival, unlimited times. Tickets are available at the school premises, at Dinemore (One Galle Face and Muttiah Road branches) and the German Bakery.
Glitter and Glee has lined up a feast of fun and entertainment for all ages. A Snow Arena will have the kids enthralled with the chance to play and make a snow man with artificial snow. There’s also a climbing wall, VR Just Dance, VR car racing, galaxy ride, rodeo bull among many other attractions that will keep all returning for more. Younger children will have a bouncy castle, train rides, face painting and yummy candy floss.
There are also stalls of Christmas craft, cookery, robotics and Mehendi. The British School kids performing in choir, dance and band have a lot lined up, including an edgy fashion show presented by the students of Year 13 kids who will model the clothes of upcoming and leading designers.
The food court be in the playground area offers an array of exciting cuisines from Japanese to Italian to Chinese and Vietnamese and of course, a very tempting dessert stall.
The raffle draw is not to be missed for prizes come from an array of partners: Cinnamon Grand, Cinnamon Lakeside, Sheraton Kosgoda, Courtyard by Marriott, TUS, Dinemore, Bullion Exchange, Spa Ceylon, Vitawell, Jetwing, the Parfumerie, Nesh.lk, Vision Care, Nail Spa and Athirasa. The first prize is two air tickets from SriLankan Airlines.
The carnival is also a chance to get your Christmas shopping from the inviting selection of Christmas decorations, gift hampers, cakes, slime, jewellery, footwear and much much more.
