Screening of Sumitra’s last film

Veteran film director Sumitra Peries’s last film Vaishnavee (Tree Goddess) – will be screened at the National Film Corporation on Tuesday, December 5 at 6 pm at the National Film Corporation (Tharangani Theatre), Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7. The film will have English subtitles. Entrance is free and open to all.
The screening of this film has been arranged by the French Embassy in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, in collaboration with the Lester James Peries and Sumitra Peries Foundation as the finale to the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between France and Sri Lanka.
