LOLC Divi Saviya’s continuous commitment towards nurturing futures
View(s):LOLC Divi Saviya has announced the launch of the third phase of its transformative educational initiative, coinciding with the spirit of Christmas. This phase will expand its outreach to schools with 100-150 students nationwide, marking a milestone of 3000 schools reached by the culmination of the second phase, which was completed in November.
In keeping with the spirit of the season, LOLC Divi Saviya unveils a unique Christmas edition, themed “Gifting the Future” throughout the month of December. In echoing this seasonal concept, LOLC has curated a series of special activations strategically centred around 24 LOLC branches across the island with the participation of regional schoolchildren in emphasising the value of ‘gifting’ dreams.
The company said in a media release that since its inception in February 2023, the LOLC Divi Saviya initiative has constantly demonstrated its commitment to addressing the nation’s needs by providing essential school material to students from grades 1 to 13. The initiative successfully reached 1400 schools in its inaugural phase and expanded its impact to 1600 schools during the second phase. With the commencement of the third phase, the initiative expects to cover 1204 additional schools.

The formal launch of LOLC Divi Saviya Phase 03 seamlessly aligned with its thematic approach “Gifting the Future”, took place on December 5, 2023, at Excel World, Park Premier in the presence of Ishara Nanayakkara, Deputy Chairman of the LOLC Group.
The ambitious project now totalling up to Rs. 2.5 billion, aims to distribute school supplies across all 25 districts of Sri Lanka. The initiative, titled “Daye Daruwange Anagathaya Wenuwen” (for the future of the children), hopes to alleviate the financial burden on families and enable students to focus wholeheartedly on their studies.
